The Northern Territory Working Women’s Centre provides free and confidential advice to women across the territory who are experiencing workplace issues.

We also provide community education, policy advocacy and workplace training to support equitable and safe workplaces for all women in the Northern Territory.

About the Role

  • 30-38 hours per week Alice Springs (Darwin considered). 
  • Level 6 NTWWC Enterprise Agreement
  • ($93744 - $98232 pro rata –salary sacrifice available, plus 14.5% super)

The successful applicant will contribute to and oversee the work of our industrial liaison team to ensure high quality provision of industrial relations advice, information, advocacy, representation and support for women experiencing work related issues.

The role will contribute to the development of community education and training resources, policy advocacy including submissions and stakeholder engagement to help achieve the vision and mission of the NTWWC and deliver organisational priorities.

About you

This rewarding leadership role would suit someone who is open and collaborative, inquisitive, self motivated and with a "can do" attitude. You might come from an HR, union or employment law background and be eager to understand and respond to working women's issues, be able to lead and mentor others and undertake continuous learning and professional development.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Relevant Industrial Relations knowledge and experience
  • Case Management and team leadership experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intersectional feminist values and understanding of NT operating context
  • Ability to understand industrial instruments and interpret legislation
  • Self motivated to undertake relevant training and ongoing professional development
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Experience in designing and delivering education and training
