The position

The position is offered as a fixed term contract to 30 June 2024, with the possibility of extension if funding allows. The position is based at Werribee, with outreach to Melton. During pandemic-related Community Health Orders we have been delivering the Day Program online.
The key purposes of the role are to assist individuals to reduce or cease harmful alcohol and other drug use, to better manage relapse, and to establish healthier relationships and lifestyles free of problematic alcohol and drug use.

A day in the life of this position includes: assisting in the facilitation of psycho-educational groups and the daily client activity schedule, and being the key worker to a case load of clients during and following the program.
