Your new job

The YPARC Coordinator is a key leadership role within the Orygen system. The role will provide operational leadership and management of the YPARC including the recruiting, developing, maintaining and sustaining of the clinical and youth wellbeing workforce within the Orygen YPARC care system.

You will:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the Orygen YPARC care model
  • Lead and manage recruitment and orientation of multidisciplinary staff, line management, rostering, budgeting, facility and infrastructure management and other operational tasks for the Orygen YPARC program.
  • Lead clinical care alongside Orygen YPARC leadership and work closely with the lead consultant and youth wellbeing workforce lead.
  • Lead and manage the establishment and maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. In addition, you will bring:

  • Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (such as psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing) and full AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration with AASW.
  • Advanced clinical skills, including the assessment and management of high-risk clinical situations and Extensive experience working in youth mental health services.
  • Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams and leading teams/ management of youth mental health services and bed-based services is desirable.
  • Previous working knowledge of the common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence-based treatments for major adolescent health issues.
