About the role

Working within the newly established Innovation Directorate, this position will lead the development, delivery and implementation of the Our Watch partnership approach in the Innovation Directorate. Reporting to the PMO and Innovation Manager, this role will contribute to delivering the Our Watch strategic plan, with a specific focus on using existing Our Watch frameworks, the new Project Management Framework and the Partnership Broker Association framework and guidelines to;

  • Develop and implement a whole-of-organisation model for partnerships
  • Support partnership practice across the organisation
  • Support key team members to broker partnerships with external stakeholders, including engaging external brokers when appropriate.

About you

We are seeking a confident, strategic, collaborative practitioner to step into this exciting new role. The Partnership Lead will possess a deep commitment to designing and facilitating collaborative processes, empathy and advanced capacity for/skills in negotiation, synthesising information and record. The broader intent of the Partnership Lead role is to support and strengthen partnerships through innovative and skilled management of collaborative processes.

You will work closely with Innovation Directorate colleagues to develop and embed new processes and systems, building the team’s capabilities. The successful candidate will have knowledge of prevention of violence against women frameworks and approaches. You will have sophisticated communication skills and are confident in engaging a range of stakeholders from different settings and maintaining strong, productive relationships with project partners and funders. You are comfortable working independently, in partnership with others external to Our Watch, and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.   

The ideal candidate will already have Level 1 Partnership Brokering Training but if not, they will be supported to attend the course in late 2022 and provided with mentoring from an accredited broker.
