Our Watch is a national leader of primary prevention of violence against women and their children.

About the role

Working within the Prevention in Action directorate, this position contributes to delivering on the suite of evidence-based prevention approaches to address the drivers of violence against women. This role works closely with staff leading work in key settings and sector engagement and provide direct support to key stakeholders in the form of technical advice, training, resource development and facilitation of activities that promote best practice prevention practice.

About you

You will have experience in delivery of primary prevention activity and demonstrated knowledge and skill in applying the evidence base of primary prevention of violence against women to a range of audiences. You will have experience in delivering capacity building activities including facilitation of training, organisational development in relation to gender equality and inclusion, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

You will have experience developing evidence-based resources that support social change and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will have knowledge of the evidence bases that underpins the prevention of violence against women and experience working in/with at least one of the following key areas: workforce and sector development, universities, TAFEs, workplaces, sports and/or the media.
