About the role

The Prevention Sector Engagement team is focused on expanding Our Watch’s engagement with the primary prevention workforce and sector across Australia, with an overarching aim to increase the skills, coordination and size of those working to prevent violence against women. Reporting to the Manager, Prevention Sector Engagement, this role will lead the planning and implementation of engagement, learning and workforce development activities for the primary prevention sector and workforce across Australia. This includes but isn’t limited to events, webinars, communities of practice and delivery of non-accredited training. This role will also foster relationships with non-government and government stakeholders involved in primary prevention sector engagement and workforce development.

About you

You will support the development of an annual Prevention Sector Engagement Implementation Plan, and lead the planning and implementation of relevant sector engagement, learning and workforce development activities within this Plan. This role will also deliver training and other capacity building activities on a regular basis, including supporting setting-based implementation as required. You will nurture effective relationships across Our Watch and externally with key stakeholders to achieve these activities.

You will be an experienced prevention specialist with a strong knowledge of prevention of violence against women. You will have sophisticated communications skills and confidence engaging a broad range of stakeholders. You will also have experience facilitating training and capacity development activities that suit the diverse entry points and contexts of the prevention sector and workforce across Australia. You will be able to work independently, in partnership with others external to Our Watch and as part of a collaborative internal team.
