Specialised Foster Carer

OzChild

More than just foster care

We’re searching for people with a passion for improving the lives of children and young people.

OzChild is a non-government organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, young people and families for over 170 years. The largest provider of evidence-based programs in Australia, we support over 10,000 children, young people and family members each year.

We are currently seeking individuals or couples to become specialised foster carers in our internationally proven program Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO).

To date we have had some fantastic outcomes for children and young people, such as Jane*, who prior to TFCO would often refuse to attend school and stay up all night watching Netflix and play X-Box. She was living in a serviced apartment with staff and her diet and sleep were poor. She was often angry and would act out by shouting and having meltdowns. After 10 months in the TFCO program, Jane was restored to her mother and a transition to her new home began. You can read the full story about Jane here.

Carers will be fully trained and receive a generous tax-free reimbursement of $75,000 per annum pro-rata.
