The Role

Your specialist Community Services skills will ensure your success as the Family Law Services Team Leader. You will support a team of practitioners/ mediators delivering an integrated, wrap around, trauma-informed service to families accessing pre and post separation services. The Team Leader role is critical to lead the team to provide effective and efficient assessments, mediation, counselling, education and information and Family Dispute Resolution. You will work closely with our Children’s Contact Service and Post Separation Services Teams, benefiting from a collaborative culture.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Team Leader who has worked in the Community Services sector with experience in leading and managing staff and programs. We welcome applications from Social Workers , mental health practitioners , Psychologists or related discipline. Experience and knowledge working with parents and children with a child focused lens and an understanding of family law will be highly regarded.

  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Family Dispute Resolution, family law, counselling, child inclusive practice family and community services, conflict resolution and management and mediation.
  • Highly developed leadership skills
  • ​Engagement and rapport building,
  • Empathy and reflective skills,
  • Supporting your team to find their own solutions and a focus on excellence in service delivery
  • Using evidence-based decision making
  • Confidence working in a high paced, agile environment to meet the needs of a diverse range of service users.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • A post graduate certificate in Family Dispute Resolution is highly desirable
  • Individual Family Dispute Resolution Registration Number

OzChild offers:

  • A full-time permanent position
  • 38 hours per week
  • SCHCADS level 7 which equates to over $100,000 per year plus super
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900
  • Relocation assistance up to $3000 available to you
  • Work from home, flexible working arrangements
  • Primary office location is Warrnambool
  • Ongoing training
