The role:

The Orange Door Team Leader will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, safe and effective responses to Victorian women, children and families seeking support and safety through the Orange Door and keep the perpetrator in view.

What you will do:

  • Provide day to day operational management and leadership to Orange Door Practitioners within the Bayside Peninsula Orange Door.
  • Support the delivery of a high-quality intake, assessment, crisis response, planning and referral service to women and children who have experienced family violence, vulnerable children and families and perpetrators of family violence.
  • Oversee the delivery of high quality, coordinated service and outcomes to vulnerable families and children consistent with the Integrate Practice framework

Who we are looking for:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology or diploma level with substantial experience in the sector
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families and/or family violence where there are complex needs and risk issues.
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and prioritise risks and needs of clients in a whole of family approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity.
  • Experience working in a leadership role within family violence, child protection or a related context.

OzChild offers:

  • A permanent part time role
  • Hours are 9am-5pm
  • 0.9 FTE which equates to 34.2 hours per week or a 9 day fortnight
  • 4 days additional leave each year ex-gratia
