The Role

The Family Law Services Team leader supports a team of 4 practitioners and mediators delivering an integrated, wrap around, trauma-informed service to families accessing Family Law Services. It holds a critical role focussed on providing effective and efficient mediation and family dispute resolution. You will work closely with our children’s contact service and benefit from a collaborative culture based on recognition and continuous learning.

Our office is based at the end of the Great Ocean Road close to whale watching, rocky shores and some of the most dramatic coastal landscape in the country.

Who we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Family Dispute Resolution, family and community services, conflict management and mediation.
  • Highly developed leadership skills -
    • Engagement and rapport building,
    • Empathy and reflective skills,
    • Supporting your team to find their own solutions.
    • Using evidence-based decision making
  • Confidence working in a high paced, agile environment to meet the needs of a diverse range of service users.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline
  • A post graduate certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution is essential
  • Individual Family Dispute Resolution Registration Number

OzChild offers:

  • A full-time permanent position
  • 38 hours per week
  • SCHCADS level 7 which equates to over $100,000 per year plus super
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900
  • Relocation assistance up to $3000 available to you
  • Work from home, flexible working arrangements
  • Primary office location is Warrnambool
  • Ongoing training in
