Are you well organised with extensive experience working as a counsellor, psychotherapist or Indigenous Healing Practitioner? Are you keen to support other therapists deal with ethical questions relating to practice? Do you have great communication skills with the ability to assist both members of the public and therapists to navigate complaints and resolve issues.

PACFA can provide a great opportunity for you to use your knowledge of the sector and understanding of ethical principles to assist others while utilising your critical thinking, interpersonal and administrative skills.

We are a small not-for-profit organisation supporting our members who work as counsellors, Indigenous Healing Practitioners and psychotherapists. We need a capable and proactive person to join our team to support the Practice Advisor You would also support the PACFA Ethics Committee by recording Minutes, managing timely correspondence and liaising with the Chair.

You would work closely with Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioners and Professional Conduct Panels to try to resolve issues and complaints. A key role will be to provide support to members who are seeking advice on how to manage ethical issues as they arise.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with our new Practice Advisor to promote and support ethical practice in our members and to work with members of the public to facilitate appropriate complaints and manage expectations.

PACFA offers an interesting and engaging team, with lots of opportunity to use your oral and written communication skills to improve and support practice. Days and hours of work have some flexibility with this position being part-time, three days per week. Whilst working from home is necessary during Covid it is intended this position will return to the office at least 50% of the time in 2022.
