Production Supervisor / Batchmaker

You'll enjoy working in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to work accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Food processing and batching - Weighing, blending and mixing ingredients according to recipes
  • Coordinate team activities under the guidance of the Operations Manager, to deliver day-to-day operational requirements
  • Assembling and disassembling of machinery and completing thorough clean down of work station and surrounding areas at the end of each shift
  • Manage the opening and closing of production by following the strict guidelines, either working individually or with small teams
  • Accurately record daily productivity
  • Food handling and preparation, including measuring and sorting raw ingredients
  • Inform the Operations Manager of all production and staffing related matters.

Strong focus on food safety and hygiene.

This is a hands-on role – Repetitive heavy lifting up to 30kg may be required.

Key Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role within FMCG
  • Experience operating machinery, batch making and process work
  • Good understanding of GMP, HACCP and WHS
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
  • Must be available to work on a rotating roster, day and afternoon shift, including weekends
  • Must have own steel cap work boots
  • Must hold a current forklift truck operation licence and have experience using a forklift.
