Role Summary

This is an exciting role which will play a key part within the Communications Function serving The Paul Ramsay Foundation. The Content Manager will assist in executing our communications and media strategy providing hands on support to the Head of Communications. Typical tasks will include – writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums including blog posts, reports, opinion pieces and newsletters. Demonstrated ability to work with creative professionals to build thought leadership projects and multi-channel campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and review high quality content across print, web and social media channels.
  • Stakeholder engagement to elicit editorial ideas.
  • Ghost write thought leadership and opinion pieces.
  • Produce content for newsletters, website, and media.
  • Review, summarise and find angles for thought leadership reports/research.
  • Production of marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with designers, agencies, and other external suppliers on large- and small-scale projects.
  • Other administrative tasks to free up the Head of Communications to focus on more high value tasks.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Ideally 10+ years' experience as a journalist, corporate writer, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality communications for a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills to prioritise and manage a high volume of detailed work with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience dealing professionally and calmly within high pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up one's sleeves and do administrative work.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, public relations, media relations or another related field.
