Positive Vibes Foundation is a prominent mental health charity based in The Hills Shire which was established in 2014. The charity aims to drive better mental health outcomes in the community and involves connecting with school communities, local bodies and business entities to spark conversations around positive mental health.

The charity runs programs dedicated to women, youth and the elderly and participates in many community events to raise awareness and connect people to mental health services.

We are currently experiencing significant growth and are looking to add a motivated and dynamic Operations & Administration Manager to our team, working closely with the Board and third parties.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-orientated individual to leverage their skills, be part of a growing charitable organisation and contribute to helping the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Board on initiatives and strategies, preparing Board reports, attending its meetings and taking the minutes
  • Update other team members on the charity’s activities, events, and operational issues
  • Conduct regular risk assessments
  • Prepare the annual report
  • Oversee and control grants applied for
  • Ensure records with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC) are up to date
  • Liaise with Council regarding leased premises
  • Ensure regular and ad-hoc site administration activities are effectively performed.

The candidate:

  • Previous experience with charities is desirable, but not a must
  • Possess a passion for service and helping others
  • Self-motivated, achievement oriented, well disciplined, task focused with a strong sense of timeliness
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Well organised, with attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office

This is a flexible role requiring approximately 6 hours per week and would suit a retiree or someone looking for part time employment. Mental health training can be provided by the organisation.
