As a member of the multidisciplinary team your skills will be utilised to provides time-limited, individual psychological assessment, formulation and treatment. There will be opportunities to carry out structured psychological assessments (including PAI and SCID-5) and short-term interventions drawing upon a range of therapeutic models (and including cognitive and psychodynamic orientations). The psychologist will work alongside Assessment and Brief Intervention clinicians to support therapeutic interventions, including supervising the delivery of short-term skill based interventions such as the Emotional Regulation Impulse Control (ERIC) and CARE: Relational Coping Skills in Crisis workbooks.
The psychologist will be part of a small but supportive and developing number of psychologists across the mental health service. Psychologists seeking endorsement are encouraged to apply and will have access to individual supervision from a senior clinical psychologist and a facilitated group for registrars, that supports the endorsement process.
