About the Role

You will undertake activities requiring a level of environmental and service expertise and will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic, as well as actively participate in a team environment ensuring your individual contribution to the overall success of the team.

The roles primary focus is to plan, communicate and deliver the actions, as directed by the Ranger in Charge, for the conservation strategies across the Nature Parks reserves per the Conservation Plan 2019-2023.

This opportunity allows the successful person to imbed process improvements, actively contribute to initiatives, progressing our Reconciliation Action Plan, as well as completing day-to-day activities.

About you

Are you passionate about environment management and wildlife emergency management? Do you have an ability to undertake feeding and care of captive wildlife and regular patrols that undertake compliance activities?

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ability to participate in programs of habitat restoration, weed and pest animal management.
  • Sound understanding of environmental management especially in habitat restoration.
  • Well organised and have deadly communication skills.
  • Ability to work together with a team and on your own.
  • Knowledge of pest plants, weed control and Victorian Flora.
