Campaigns Director - Seed - Flexible Location

Pipeline Talent
  • Full Time, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Darwin (Negotiable).
  • $93,152 - $104,956 + Super.
  • This is an identified role suitable for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only.

About the organisation

Seed is Australia's first and only Indigenous Youth Climate Network. We are building a movement led by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to protect our country, culture and communities from the causes and impacts of climate change. Since launching as a semi-autonomous branch of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) in 2014, Seed has rapidly grown to be a powerful, national grassroots network of over 250 volunteers across the country. We provide platforms for Indigenous young people to build their skills, confidence, and networks to lead action on climate justice campaigns in their communities.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Campaigns Director is a key senior leadership role, providing high-level strategic leadership, support, and direction across all our campaigning and organising with frontline communities for climate justice.

In this role, you will manage Seed’s Campaigns Team and work in close collaboration with all other areas of the organisation to ensure we build the power of our First Nations youth-led movement for climate justice. You will manage the development and implementation of Seed’s campaign strategy. This will require a strategic balance of both proactive and reactive approaches, that will include everything from research and information gathering, building, and managing internal and external relationships with campaign collaborators and community stakeholders, inspiring and providing resources for our volunteer network and other related projects to enhance the impact and effectiveness of our campaign, movement building and organisational goals.
