About the job

The primary objectives of the Campaigns Coordinator role are to assist and work in association with the Head of Circular Economy Programs and individual campaign managers to ensure the professional, timely and efficient development and delivery of the suite of Planet Ark’s programs, with a particular focus on National Recycling Week and other campaigns as directed. To contribute to Planet Ark’s active participation in a wide range of social and new media platforms and to work with campaign managers to ensure the information on our websites is up-to-date, accurate and in line with policies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist in or coordinate the development, production, distribution and reporting of Planet Ark’s campaigns including developing campaign collateral, reporting to sponsors and providing administrative assistance with a particular focus on recycling campaigns and other campaigns as directed.
  2. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Planet Ark’s social and new media presence including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs and so on, and assist campaign managers in the updating of information on Planet Ark’s suite of websites.
  3. Assist campaign managers to develop and maintain relationships with campaign partners, sponsors, councils, and other key organisations.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience in the development, production, and delivery of innovative environment community education and/or awareness programs or experience in similar campaigns in other fields
  • Experience in using online, social media platforms to support campaign goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacity for stakeholder relationship management, diplomacy and conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a particular focus on resources for public consumption
  • Strong time management skills, with an ability to manage ongoing, concurrent tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines all with a fine attention to detail
  • Computer literate in generic computer packages such as Microsoft Office, email systems and familiarity with the Internet and databases
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team and take directions from others
  • Willingness to develop new skills and undertake workplace training and learning
  • A strong alignment with Planet Ark’s mission and values

DESIRABLE CRITERION

  • Knowledge and understanding of waste management and resource recovery

  • This is a full time position based in Sydney but interstate applications are welcome.
  • Salary range is $55K, plus super and benefits.
