  • Salary range: $60,000 - $67,000 plus super
  • Professional Childcare Standards Award
  • 15 days personal leave a year
  • Annual centre closure for professional development
  • Centre closure for 2 weeks during Christmas and New Years

Opportunities to work for a community run non-for-profit service with long standing early childhood professionals do not come up often, especially in a supportive and heart-centred culture.

Poets Grove is looking for a positive, energetic, nurturing and dedicated Diploma qualified educator. You will need to have a passion for education and excellence, the ability to form respectful and responsive relationships with children naturally and can work positively in a diverse team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Have a strong, confident and motivated personality with an ambition to provide education and care standards of excellence.
  • Develop open communication channels with staff, children and families of the centre.
  • Comply with the centres policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation & regulations.
  • Assisting children with their daily routines & support them in their learning.
  • Create an engaging environment to inspire & extend children's development.

The position available can be a part-time or full-time role. Successful applicants must:

  • Have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Working with Children's Check and Police Check
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Education and Care Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Be approachable and well respected
  • Strong documentation skills
