Police Veterans Victoria (PVV) is a Not-for-Profit organisation providing welfare support to Victoria Police veteran employees and their families relating to mental health, PTSD, drug, alcohol, other issues and wellbeing initiatives supporting them in making choices about their wellbeing support from which they might benefit. These services are provided in partnership with Victoria Police and are further supported by a full-time Social Worker as the Program Coordinator of volunteer  Veteran Peer Support Officer (VPSO’s).

About the role

The Digital Communications & Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a communications strategy in line with PVV’s mission and strategic plan. Reporting directly to the Executive Officer, the successful candidate will:

• Drive PVV program innovation and growth.
• Refine brand identity to create a comprehensive set of brand guidelines that detail the brand purpose, mission statement, tone of voice, typography, colour palette and correct logo applications
• Apply brand guidelines to all PVV internal and external communications
• Lead the development and delivery of marketing, communication and community awareness initiatives to increase brand awareness and veteran engagement
• Identify best practice service delivery models to enhance PVV member experience
• Align all marketing communications activities with strategic objectives developed by the EO and PVV Board
• Actively research not-for-profit industry trends and market leaders to implement best practice communications initiatives
• Use research and campaign results to adapt and inform future marketing and communications activities
• Drive veteran engagement levels

This is a full time position based at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer St, Docklands. We offer a flexible working arrangement with a mix of workplace and home based arrangements.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing our website and must be proficient in WordPress.

This is an entry level role suitable for a graduate - we are particularly interested in those receiving Jobseeker support.
