Positive Change for Marine Life is seeking applications for a part-time role, working across campaigns and programs, fundraising and marketing, to increase and strengthen our digital outreach and engagement.

The Digital Engagement and Media Coordinator will report to the Development Manager and work closely with program and department managers, to communicate our impact creatively and with integrity, to increase supporter participation and retention, brand awareness and engagement.

The Digital Engagement and Media Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Digital and print media production including research, writing and graphic design;
  • Website (Nation Builder) content, coordination and development;
  • Social media content development, planning, scheduling and posting, organic and paid;
  • Creative and strategic use of Google Analytics and AdWords;
  • Develop and coordinate an eDM calendar and content;
  • Creating content with a distinct brand and culture identity that promotes genuine engagement with our supporters;
  • Working with the Development Manager on a digital media growth strategy;
  • Working consistently to our Brand Guidelines and Style Guide, and
  • Monitoring and reporting on our digital engagement to inform future activity.

We are seeking someone with:

  • Passion for and understanding of current digital and social media platforms and trends;
  • Demonstrated ability to write effective and compelling stakeholder and marketing communications;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks to deliver on agreed deadlines;
  • Ability to work in a team environment, be flexible and take initiative;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in fundraising and/or marketing;
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Nation Builder web development and SendInBlue, or similar programs, and
  • Excellent copywriting, interpersonal and communication skills.

Role and remuneration

The successful applicant will be offered a fixed-term contract for an initial 12 months (with the option to extend for the right candidate). The role will be part-time (0.6FTE) with some flexibility in regards to days worked. Position location is flexible and the salary will be paid in line with skills and experience ($68,000 - $75,000 FTE/pro rata, including superannuation).
