Mental Health Professional - Parenting Program Coordinator

Prevention United

Are you a mental health professional with an interest in the BIG PICTURE?

Would you like to promote the mental health and well-being of Australia’s future generations, rather than waiting for problems to emerge? Then we have the job for you!

Prevention United is a mental health promotion charity that is focused on preventing the onset of mental health conditions, rather than waiting until people are already experiencing major challenges. We focus on wellbeing and prevention by supporting people’s strengths, and reducing their risks.

We are looking for a Parent Programs Coordinator to oversee one of our flagship initiatives – the Partners in Parenting (PiP) program.

We are happy to consider part-time, job share arrangement for suitable candidates.

PiP is the brainchild of A/Professor Marie Yap at Monash University. This online program teaches parents evidence-based parenting strategies that help to reduce their teenager’s risk of experiencing depression or anxiety, and supports parents to embed these strategies in their day-to-day life. We are about to embark on the next phase in the development of the program – called PiP Plus.

We need your help to support parents across Australia to access the program. You will also moderate the associated Facebook peer support group.

Use your mental health knowledge and people skills to improve the lives of parents, and help us to prevent teenage depression and anxiety conditions.

For more information about this role, please contact Dr Luke Martin, Head of Programs at Prevention United, on [email protected] using the subject line: Mental Health Professional - Parenting Program Coordinator enquiry via EthicalJobs.
