About the opportunity…

Work within a small, newly established Program Operations team of five people to support Primary Health Tasmania’s operational business areas to interpret the requirements and guidelines of funded health agreements and organisational health strategies, priorities and program logics and turn them into health system initiatives that deliver positive health outcomes for the Tasmanian community.

What would you be doing…

The focus of your role is to provide leadership and accountability for the delivery of complex health initiatives as described through Primary Health Tasmania Health Strategies and Australian Government funding schedules that are undertaken by Primary Health Tasmania.

The Health Program Lead coordinates, facilitates and directs staff resources from across the organisation to enable streamlined and timely allocation of resources to deliver identified activities. The Health Program Lead applies Primary Health Tasmania’s health program, project management and other business processes, systems, and tools to coordinate activity to achieve the objectives, milestones and deliverables of Primary Health Tasmania identified initiatives.

The role is expected to ensure that individual initiatives are contributing effectively to programmatic priorities and Primary Health Tasmania’s performance against its strategic plan.

Here's what you’ll look like…

  • You will have tertiary qualifications in Health, business, or other relevant disciplines or relevant equivalent level of experience.
  • You’ll have highly advanced program/project management skills inclusive of knowledge and experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • You’ll have a background in a related field in a program/project management capacity.
  • You’ll have experience using effective project planning documentation and performance reporting, along with strong financial management capability.
  • You’ll have a strong influencing capability and examples of collaborating across and between organisations building strong links and knowledge to ensure project success.
  • You’ll have experience and ability to engage and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that robust relationships and trust is established.
  • You’re happy to travel if required (intrastate and interstate)
  • You’ll be a culture champion – understanding that every day, you play an important part of what makes Primary Health Tasmania a great place to work
