The Senior Project Officer is instrumental in supporting the ongoing implementation and reform of programs delivered by a Cairns based community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection organisation.

You will have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, programs and service delivery, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the child placement principle, active efforts and family led decision making.

Our employees benefit from salary packaging, flexible working arrangements, continuous professional development, gratis leave for usual business days over the Christmas period, gym membership contribution and other wellness support programs. We will consider a relocation contribution.

Please note it is essential that you identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD)
