Take your career in land conservation further - join one of our Ranger bases at Heathlands or New Laura, supporting a team of Rangers working across the Northern Queensland National Parks, and enjoy working in the far tropical North where each unique landscape is your office!

You'll love the diversity, flexibility, and autonomy here. You will co-ordinate the planning and delivery of work programs on QPWS managed areas, and your work will be varied, stimulating, and your office view will be stunning! Your strong leadership and communication skills will assist you in tackling evolving priorities across various estate management programs. Outdoor duties such as pest, weed and fire management, consulting and coordination will balance indoor work and basic administration. 

You'll form invaluable professional relationships with Traditional Owners, various commonwealth and state agencies and stakeholders. You'll also create a positive, safe, diverse, and inclusive culture.  Together, we achieve more. About you

  • Your technical skills and knowledge of natural land management strategies will help build your success in this role
  • Your knowledge and experience working with First Nations People to achieve cultural and ecological conservation outcomes will be highly regarded
  • Experience in all aspects of pest, weed and fire management will allow you to excel in this role
  • You'll be a strong decision-maker with the ability to think on your feet
  • Leading others will be a natural process for you, with a genuine interest in team work and collaboration.
