This generalist HRBP role is key contact point for staff in Canberra and regional NSW and works closely with supervisors and managers on all aspects of human resources. The HRBP is responsible for building strong relationships across multiple sites and the timely delivery of HR operational services, including the planning and execution of key HR projects and supporting recruitment, WH&S and employee relations.

The role:

  • Acts as a point of contact for all HR services across all RACR sites.
  • Reports to the Director – HR and supervises the HR Officer role.
  • Provides specialised advice and support to staff, supervisors and manager on HR Operations, Work, Health and Safety, Performance Management, Training and Development, Enterprise Agreement interpretation and application and HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Coordinates all recruitment activities and manages the on-boarding and induction process for all new employees.
  • Reviews, develops and updates HR/ WH&S policies, processes and related documents by applying specialised expertise and undertaking appropriate research.

Experience and attributes suitable candidates would bring to the role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in generalist HR and interpreting employment related legislation and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural communities and knowledge of issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and communities, and LGBTIQ communities.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and team engagement experience in a culturally diverse environment, with an ability to coach and mentor staff, to prioritise workloads and to lead the team to deliver on challenging objectives in a timely manner.
