About Raise:

At Raise we exist to help young people. We do one thing, and we do it really well – youth mentoring.

Our best-practice, school-based program is proven to make positive and sustained change. Mentoring empowers young people to be resilient, connected and hopeful for the future. We match trained volunteers with teenagers who would benefit most from an independent, caring adult who is there to listen – and be there just for them.

Our early intervention youth mentoring program is currently in over 150 high schools across Australia. This translates to over 2,500 young people matched with a qualified mentor, and we are growing each year.

About the Role:

The Data Insights & Evaluations Analyst works collaboratively across all Raise teams to identify and deliver shared strategic and operational outcomes through the effective use of data and evaluation. They also support the piloting of new programs and modes of delivery, support qualitative interviews and focus groups with a range of stakeholders and provide relevant data for all teams to enable relevant projects.

The Data & Youth Insights team enables Raise to prove and improve its impact for young people across Australia through the comprehensive and rigorous internal evaluation of Raise programs, and the Data Insights & Evaluations Analyst is an essential member of this team.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Interest in the wellbeing of young people facing profound challenges in their lives
  • An excellent academic track record with degree level qualifications in social or behavioural sciences, statistics, econometrics, health sciences or other relevant discipline with strong data, research and/or evaluation component
  • Experience in data collection and analysis
  • Experience with survey delivery tools (Qualtrics, Social Suite or equivalent) and statistical software packages (Stata or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presenting and/or communicating technical information to diverse audiences
  • Experience in collaborative working within and across teams
  • Experience in managing multiple and/or competing priorities
  • ­ Willingness to undergo the Raise selection process including appropriate youth safety checks

Desirable:

  • Experience with qualitative data analysis tools such as Nvivo
  • Experience with a CRM system such as Salesforce
