About Raise:

At Raise we exist to help young people. We do one thing, and we do it really well – youth mentoring.

Our best-practice, school-based program is proven to make positive and sustained change. Mentoring empowers young people to be resilient, connected and hopeful for the future. We match trained volunteers with teenagers who would benefit most from an independent, caring adult who is there to listen – and be there just for them.

Our early intervention youth mentoring program is currently in over 150 high schools across Australia. This translates to over 2,000 young people matched with a qualified mentor, and we are growing each year.

About the Role:

The Marketing Communications Manager is a key role in the Raise Marketing team, responsible for supporting our partnerships, people and research team. Using your broad marketing skills, this the perfect role for a creative marketing all-rounder. A small team of 5, this role requires awesome attention to detail, the ability to think strategically and then the attitude to roll your sleeves up and get the job done. Being able to work collaboratively and autonomously is a must and a sense of humour is critical to this role!

Working closely with our partnerships, people and program evaluation team, you will be the key marketing contact to deliver the content roadmap across these areas of the business. You will be a great communicator that thrives running multiple projects at the same time. Working closely with Partnerships this role is responsible for supporting all fundraising initiatives including events and management of our ambassador program as well as driving in-kind media partnership opportunities.

Working with the inhouse designer, content coordinator and Digital Marketing Manager you will lead the development of all content, marketing plans and media opportunities in this area.

If you are passionate about supporting young people, a natural and calm project manager, skilled in multiple facets of marketing, able to nail copy, creative ideas a plenty, strategic and tactical with the drive to raise the bar on results this is the role to apply for.

About You:

  • Relevant qualifications (degree or diploma) in marketing and/or business
  • Experience working in a non-profit organisation preferable
  • Genuine interest in the wellbeing of young people facing profound challenges in their lives.
  • Project management experience and a passion for ensuring effective outcomes and impact
  • Exceptional ability to engage, motivate people around you with outstanding interpersonal relationship skills
  • Strong capability to represent Raise to, community and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills with solid administration and reporting expertise
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Completion of Raise selection process including Youth Safety Checks, must hold a current Working with Children (Employee) Check and National Crime Check
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office365, CRM such as Salesforce, and cloud-based systems such as One Drive or Google Drive
  • Ability to meet minimum requirements for contact with Raise staff team and key stakeholders
