About the Role

Make a difference as a Caseworker in our Supporting Recovery program where you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing the support provided to victims and survivors of Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence (FDSV). As part of the Local Care Team, you will deliver therapeutic and trauma-informed casework, facilitate referrals, and create tailored recovery plans. Your efforts will drive our pilot program forward, reducing touchpoints for victim survivors, and ensuring they receive the support, choice, and agency needed on their recovery journey.

You’ll:

  • Advocate for and elevate the service within the local community, ensuring its success and visibility
  • Conduct thorough intakes for victim survivors referred to the service, utilising a “no wrong door” approach to ensure accessibility and support
  • Work closely with victims to provide high-quality support and casework
  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify risks and tailor long-term recovery plans to meet the individual needs of victim survivors
  • Develop and implement recovery care plans that adopt a whole-of-family approach, ensuring comprehensive support for all involved
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals to appropriate services as needed.

The details:

  • 3 days per week based in Gosford
  • Part-time contract until 30.6.2026
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours on occasion where required
  • $46 – $51 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 11.5% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay! Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings
  • Extra annual leave days between Christmas and New Years

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience working with victim survivors of Family, Domestic & Sexual Violence
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting thorough intakes, comprehensive assessments, and effective case management.
  • Proficiency in assessing and responding to risk of harm (FDSV & Chid Protection), using relevant risk assessment tools and protocols
  • Strong knowledge of the local service system, and ability to facilitate effective referrals
  • Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, social welfare, health promotion or similar field, supported by relevant experience
