About The Role

As our Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), you’ll provide high quality services to families experiencing post-separation conflict who need assistance reaching agreement on parenting arrangements or resolving issues related to finances and property settlement. Your work will be guided by the Family Law Act and Regulations as they relate to your role as an FDRP.

Services include risk screening and assessment, preparation for family dispute resolution and mediating joint sessions using a range of specialised approaches including Child Inclusive Practice. You will provide information to clients about separation, counselling and legal processes and will make referrals as required. You will also complete and maintain case notes in support of client and compliance requirements are met.

Key Position Details

  • 12-month full-time contract
  • Macquarie Park location
  • $78k - $87k + super + salary packaging (depending on experience)

About You

You will have:

  • Registration with the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners.
  • Demonstrated experienced providing effective assessment and mediation interventions.
  • Deep understanding of relationship dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma informed practice, diversity awareness and mental health and wellbeing.
  • Ability to engage with clients in a calm, compassionate and professional way.
  • Strong ethical approach, including professional boundaries.
  • Commitment to self-care practices and the wellbeing of your team.
