What you’ll do:

As our Governance Risk and Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in shaping and embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence across the organisation. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of a key work health and safety project and make a real impact driving process improvement, strengthening compliance frameworks, and driving proactive risk management.

You’ll:

  • Transform risk management by making risk registers accessible, engaging, and actionable for staff at all levels
  • Support organisational compliance by maintaining accurate records, and driving engagement through proactive communication and reporting
  • Innovate compliance strategies, ensuring policies, procedures, and risk registers are maintained actively and remain relevant for the unique needs of each centre
  • Influence decision-making by providing meaningful insights through the analysis of incident reports, risk trends, and compliance data
  • Collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders, embedding governance into everyday operations to enhance accountability and strategic risk management
  • Assist in the administration of the policy library to ensure timely updates and accuracy of policies and related documentation

The details

  • 30 hours per week - flexible days/hours
  • Part-time contract until December 2026

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in governance, risk, and compliance, with knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and best practices
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with the ability to take initiative, prioritise tasks, and work independently while maintaining accountability
  • Technological proficiency, particularly across Microsoft 365 and other digital compliance tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, demonstrating curiosity and confidence when working with policies, regulations, and governance challenges
  • Ability to translate data and compliance requirements into practical, engaging, and accessible processes for staff
