The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (the College) is a not-for-profit peak body for advancing patient care in the clinical radiology and radiation oncology fields across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. We are a membership organisation led by clinicians who are elected. The College is a leader in medical imaging and cancer care and enables the best practice of clinical radiology, radiation oncology and associated subspecialty areas through engagement, education and advocacy. We provide the educational curricula for medical graduates training to enter the specialties.

The Role

We have an exciting 2 year fixed-term opportunity for a Program Officer, Examination Development and Delivery who will support the best practice development and delivery of the College’s specialty examinations and ongoing sustainability examination content.

You will join our Exams Team part of the Specialty Training team at RANZCR.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide timely support to relevant committees to the Chair and members.
  • Coordinate meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up action items as required.
  • Build effective relationships with clinicians and relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Ensure delivery of all written examinations while working collaboratively with relevant exam panels and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with development of electronic delivery of exams
  • Manage written exam papers and online platform
  • Support key projects and ongoing initiatives of the education assessment reform.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in developing material and content to communicate the activities of College examinations to the College membership and external audiences
  • Assist the implementation of the enhanced training program
  • Lead data entry, organisation, review and quality improvement for results
  • Flexibly manage activities related to the role, including planning for out-of-hours’ work and intra/interstate travel.

Skills and experience required

  • Previous experience in project support.
  • Previous experience supporting committees/ including managing agenda and minutes
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with high attention to detail and excellent document management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to work cohesively within a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Able to be proactive and use initiative
  • Able to liaise with people from different cultures at all levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively within a team environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

About you

Ideally, you will have previous experience working or an understanding of the following industries; education, not for profit organisation, professional membership body, or the healthcare sector however this is not essential.

You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, and or demonstrable equivalent in work experience in the relevant setting
