Project Officer - Professional Practice

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists

About Us

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (the College) is the peak body for advancing patient care and clinical excellence in clinical radiology and radiation oncology. The College is responsible for driving appropriate, high quality and safe use of medical imaging and radiation oncology through training, assessment and accreditation of radiologists and radiation oncologists, maintenance of quality and standards, and strategies to ensure the workforce is sufficient to support population needs in Australia and New Zealand.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Officer to join our Standards Unit, working to support our members (radiologists and radiation oncologists) in their adherence to regulatory requirements for continuing professional development (CPD) and professional standards, therefore supporting the College’s commitment to clinical excellence and education.

In this role you will collaborate with the Manager, Professional Practice and the wider Standards Unit to support members to ensure a varied range of CPD requirements and obligations are met. You will work across various committees to offer feedback and support to ensure our members development is optimised. You will be responsible for providing secretariat support to a selection of committees and working groups, as well as developing resources, guidance documents and policies to support this important area of work.

About You

You will be an exceptional communicator, who is adept at managing multiple levels of stakeholders, and present as a proven self-starter with a desire to deliver timely and accurate work as part of a collaborative team. You will possess high level customer service skills to support our members, by responding to enquiries and assisting them to trouble shoot problems. The successful applicant will be offered a two-year contract, with a view for longer term options.

With a sophisticated work from home IT infrastructure in place to support staff during COVID-19 and an office in Sydney CBD, the College is a friendly, professional and positive working environment that fosters growth and development, as well as an excellent work life balance.

We encourage applicants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent to apply.

Recruitment agencies, we understand your interest, but we plan to fill this position ourselves.
