Due to an internal promotion, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated and qualified Assistant Manager with senior clinical experience to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Gippsland, your responsibilities include, staff performance and performance management, general administrative and management responsibilities that support the Senior Manager in the effective and efficient operational management of the Gippsland centres. The role has key responsibility for the maintenance of quality service delivery and motivating the team to deliver high quality professional services, which align with RAV’s strategic direction and meet contractual obligations.

There is also a component of senior clinical work for this role with a focus in support to our i-Connect early intervention mental health support service. This includes providing individual and group clinical supervision to staff at the centre, making professional judgements, offering feedback, support, and challenging staff to ensure continuous improvement.

The role is based at our Traralgon centre with responsibilities over four (4) centres, including three (3) headspace centres in Bairnsdale, Sale and Wonthaggi. The role is for part-time hours, three (3) days per week, for an ongoing basis.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications which may include management, psychology, social work, social science, family dispute resolution.
  • Several years’ experience as a manager or team leader, delivering strong management support and advice and maximising team and operational effectiveness.
  • Sound judgement, problem solving skills to support decision making in all areas of responsibility.
  • Clinical supervision experience.
  • Experience in child and youth work (highly advantageous).

What we offer

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $120k to $125k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
