We have on offer two (2) exciting opportunities for motivated and experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners, to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria. The full time role will have a focus on property mediation.

About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager Melbourne (Acting), this position is responsible for providing Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) to families by assisting to resolve issues in dispute such as parenting arrangements and property settlements. The role is also responsible for undertaking assessments, group work (as required) and providing information, support and referral to match presenting needs to services and programs.

We have on offer two (2) positions available at our Melbourne CBD centre: one (1) full-time, ongoing opportunity for a FDRP with property mediation knowledge and one (1) part-time, 0.7 EFT position covering parental leave until March 2022. The successful candidates will be required to work an evening each week (Tuesday or Thursday) to deliver services to meet the community needs.

Skills, experience and qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, social work, law or psychology,
• Successful completion of the Vocational Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution,
• Demonstrated previous experience as a family dispute resolution practitioner (advantageous)
• Registration as an FDRP under the Accreditation Rules or on the Register of FDRP maintained by the Attorney-General’s Department for eligibility immediately, and
• Property mediation knowledge and experiences is highly desirable.
