About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, this position is funded by the Victorian State Government (Family Safety Victoria) to provide specialist family violence services to address individual perpetrator needs. This includes undertaking comprehensive program eligibility assessments, developing individual pathway plans and active case coordination where required. In addition, this role will also facilitate RAV’s Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) Programs which involves delivering and assessing specific family violence group programs to enhance the safety and wellbeing of women and children.

There are two fixed-term positions available: one part-time, four (4) days per week, until August 2023 with the possibility of extension and one position covering parental leave until December 2022. The parental leave position is available at a full-time capacity but can be negotiated for part-time hours (4 days per week).

Both positions are based at our Cranbourne North centre. The successful candidates will be required to work an evening each week (Tuesday or Thursday) to deliver services to meet the community needs.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, or a related social science discipline.
  • Complete of ‘No to Violence’ Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management (Male Family Violence), Swinburne University (preferred) or significant relevant group work experience.
  • Experience in the provision of high-quality risk assessments of individuals and families, where family violence is am identified risk.
  • Understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and the ability to articulate a practise framework including engagement and assessment.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to personal vehicle would be considered highly desirable.

What we offer

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidates with a base salary range of $86k to $92k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
