This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced senior practitioner at our Sunshine centre to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager Melbourne, this position supports the Program Coordinator Therapeutic Services and Therapeutic Services’ clinicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality professional services on practices through in-take and practice coordination and data collection. This includes program co-ordination tasks, supervision and counselling, advocacy and therapeutic case management, peer supervision and operational program requirements as needed. There is a supervisory requirement for this role.

Based at our Sunshine Family Relationship Centre, this is a part-time position, covering parental leave. The successful candidate will be offered four (4) days per week, on a fixed-term contract until March 2023.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work and or social science.
  • Significant demonstrated experience of counselling and or mental health, trauma recovery, therapeutic case management and advocacy, with evidence of leadership qualities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively intervene, prioritise and manage crisis situations.
  • Knowledge of the effects of childhood trauma on adult functioning, and trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Must have own vehicle and current Victorian driver’s licence.

What we offer

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $93k to $96k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
