The NSW Lead Trainer is an integral part of the Learning and Development Team; coaching and building the capacity of crew, facilitators in training and Facilitators to create, facilitate and hold a program from start to finish.
The Reach Foundation (Reach) is an independent, for-purpose organisation that has been improving the wellbeing of young people across Australia for more than 25 years. Reach believes in a promotion, prevention and early intervention approach to building social and emotional skills in young people to develop their resilience and capacity to thrive.
There are currently over 4 million young people living in Australia, and Reach works with thousands of them a year. We have the best of the best working for us; designing and delivering workshops in schools and the community. Our workshops are 100% youth-led, from design through to delivery, and the community we create out of these workshops is one that allows for deeper connection, a sense of belonging, and the dispelling of judgements. A preventative, instead of having to focus on symptoms in adult life.
The Reach Crew (15-25) have undertaken years of intensive training in order to facilitate Reach workshops and inspire other young people. Being young people themselves they are in a unique position to understand first-hand what is going on for the participants in Reach workshops and are best placed to guide them through the work Reach do.
The purpose of the Learning and Development team at Reach is to build the engine that drives and brings to life our belief in young people, ensuring that crew (volunteers) and facilitators (casual and/or contract staff) are able to deliver sustainable, exceptional programs.
Salary range: 65-70k
