To support the organisation in getting the best out of its staff, and to ensure staff are also supported, CatholicCare is looking for a passionate and driven person to join its People & Culture Team.

The role

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will be responsible for providing high level administrative and advisory support across a variety of areas which support the end-to-end transactional employee lifecycle; including recruitment and selection, performance management and reviews; training; employment terminations and HR reporting and compliance.

You will be the first point of contact for HR advice, employment relations queries and enquiries regarding workplace policies and procedures.

You will assist in ensuring the communication and delivery of HR initiatives across the organisation and have the opportunity to grow professionally by being actively involved in key projects.

About you

As well as generalist HR administration or HR coordination experience, key to this role is your passion to work for an organisation whose mission is focused on empowering and helping others. Just as important is your can-do and energetic approach to work.

Specifically, as the ideal candidate you will meet the following Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline and experience in a HR position and end-to-end transaction of employee lifecycle
  • Knowledge and experience interpreting and applying Awards (ideally, the SCHADS Award 2010)
  • A proactive approach to work and demonstrated initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication; negotiation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrated customer-focus
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills and Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to support CatholicCare’s Mission, Vision and Values, and its Code of Ethics and Conduct; and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence

If you believe you meet the above Key Requirements and want to work as part of a supportive and fast-paced team, then we would love to hear from you!

Benefits of working with us

As well as a competitive salary and employer superannuation contribution of 10%; we offer you the option to salary package up to $15,900 of your income a year (which can increase your take-home pay); flexible work arrangements; generous paid parental leave; a supportive team environment; and opportunities for professional growth.
