WomenCAN Australia is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2019 to support women into the workforce through vocational training and peer-led support programs. The goal is to build women’s confidence and gain financial independence through meaningful paid employment.
WomenCAN provides free training and job placements through a range of partner organisations. Currently focussed on childcare, aged care, transport and trades, WomenCAN has successfully placed more than 70% of program participants into permanent employment. WomenCAN also runs successful enterprises WomenCAN Build and WomenCAN Work providing services around Victoria.
Following the retirement of the inaugural CEO, the Board is seeking applications from dynamic and committed individuals to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer to steer the organisation through the next phase. The CEO leads, inspires and motivates the team of 17 to deliver a range of services to improve the lives of women.
