The Organisation

Our client, the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand Ltd (TSANZ) is a health promotion charity whose mission is to lead, support and enable all health workers and researchers who aim to prevent, cure, and relieve the burden, disability and mortality caused by respiratory conditions.

The TSANZ is the only Peak Body in Australia that represents all health professionals working in all fields of respiratory health and has a membership base of over 1800 individuals.

The TSANZ is a leading provider of evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of respiratory conditions in Australia and New Zealand, undertakes professional education and training, is responsible for significant research administration, and coordinates an accredited respiratory laboratory program.

The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Professional Development and Clinical Quality, you will be the primary contact for all education-related member enquiries and work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to coordinate the successful end-to-end continuing education and professional development activities for TSANZ’s members. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively to ensure the successful delivery of all educational activities
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring the delivery and participant feedback of all education activities
  • Assisting in the development of course and webinar programs and budgets
  • Managing all course materials incl. marketing, and course content (with Subject Matter Experts)
  • Managing registrations and engaging with sponsors
  • Following good governance, and best practice structures according to TSANZ governance requirements
  • Ensuring that diversity and inclusion principals are maintained across all activities

Additionally, you will work the TSANZ leadership to contribute and assist with the development of new, and existing high-quality CPD and educational activities and programs. Take responsibility for ongoing management of all applications and provide secretariat support for Board subcommittees and other TSANZ officeholders.

You Will Have

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, education, communications or similar
  • Project, budget, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in a similar role incl. providing secretariat support to Executive Committees
  • Knowledge of adult learning education and systems (ideally in the health/medical sector)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office skills
