Have you dreamed of combining your love for outdoor education with a passion for Indigenous culture and remote travel?
Red Earth is seeking enthusiastic, experienced outdoor guides, instructors and facilitators to join our growing family as Immersion Leaders in 2022.
We are a small social enterprise with 16 employees passionate about connecting groups of high school students to remote Indigenous Australia. We do this by building immersion programs: ten-day trips into remote Indigenous communities and homelands where small groups learn from Elders, visit cultural sites, and contribute to a service project in the community.
The Red Earth vision sees young people from cities deeply connecting with Traditional Owners. We know that careful planning and skilled facilitation are needed to make these magical moments happen, and that is where our Red Earth Leaders come in. As a Leader, you will be the bridge between the school group and the Traditional Owners, making sure the relationships can grow by ensuring everything else is looked after. This includes:
