In Victoria, the RFDS works in partnership with a number of community health organisations across the State to improve the health and well-being of our rural and regional communities. Part-time opportunity, maximum term contract until 30 June 2022 with the possibility of extension, flexible location, Richmond, Melbourne or East Gippsland.

RFDS are now accepting applications for a Program Support Officer to join our new Victoria CARE program, a non-clinical outreach program designed to support the mental health and wellbeing of bushfire-affected communities in East Gippsland.

The Program Support Officer is responsible for supporting operations across the Outreach CARE program, as directed by Outreach CARE Team Leader. The Program Support Officer takes a detailed, hands-on approach to operational coordination including travel logistics, team liaison, stakeholder relationship management and finance processing to ensure effective and timely delivery of a range of primary health care services.

Key Selection Criteria

• Experience in administration and/or program support
• Experience managing logistics, deadlines and resources
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and other applications and systems
• Experience with issue resolution and troubleshooting
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong initiative and drive
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Holder of a current Victorian driver’s license
• A certificate or tertiary qualification in a health or social services discipline is desirable
• Knowledge of mental health and/ or rural health is advantageous
