Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is seeking professional and motivated people to be part of its Metro South team. There are multiple positions available within this growing program.

About the position

Your next position could be providing evidence-based and recovery-oriented support to people at risk of homelessness, discharged from acute mental health wards and/or supported by community mental health services. You will assist clients to achieve their identified goals and aspirations, provide support with day to day tasks and activities and develop professional working relationships with stakeholders to achieve best possible outcomes for clients.

Requirements include

  • Degree or Diploma in a human service related field and demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness
  • Ability to work autonomously and professionally within RFQ's service philosophy and values
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • A strong commitment to recovery-based practice in the mental health space
  • Understanding of and ability to apply the principles of a recovery-oriented, person-centred, and strengths-based approach to service delivery
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property)
  • Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld)
  • Willingness and ability to undertake vaccination of preventable diseases (this is not inclusive of the COVID-19 vaccine)

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, own case load and KPI's including outcomes measures and safety planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers
  • Collaboratively create, implement and review individual personal recovery plans which are responsive to the individual's hopes for the future
