Position Overview

This full-time leader position is flexible to be based in one of our offices in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport and flexible to be part time 0.9 or 0.8 FTE.

This position reporting to the Clinical and Community Programs Manager, the Clinical Lead will oversee the Richmond Groups Clinical Programs to deliver person centred, outcomes focused, high quality and efficient programs and services. Ensure all programs and services are compliant with required quality, funding and legislative standards, meet the needs as identified by participants and are financial sustainable.

The position will be responsible for, understanding all clinical programs, undertaking line management of all Mental Health Clinicians, allocating referrals and overseeing clinicians’ caseloads and productivity. This role will be accountable for providing information on the team’s capacity, clinician productivity, service numbers and satisfaction. This position may be required to undertake organisational projects that link to clinical programs.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide line management, coaching and supports to direct reports.
  • Support the embedding of clinical governance across all Clinical programs
  • Support the development and maintenance of program and participant outcomes framework for Clinical programs
  • Ensure that clinicians deliver on program requirements in actively planning case load, liaising with allocated stakeholders, building the brand of the program, engaging in sufficient client facing clinical appointments, undertaking good record keeping and filing.
  • Support continuous improvement in service delivery excellence and operational efficiency through professional development, ensuring high quality policies and procedures and by regularly seeking feedback from patients.
  • Build rapport with identified key external stakeholders to build the positive reputation of clinical programs.
  • Develop and utilise internal reporting to drive efficiency, sustainability and improved participant outcomes
  • Participate in achievement and maintaining quality accreditation, ensuring clinical programs maintain service delivery in line with quality standards.
  • Ensure team understand VisiCase actions and the requirement to put all appointments as actions and all client related subsequent actions.
  • Embed a safety culture amongst the team where incidents and hazards are reported, investigated and closed out efficiently.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Health, Allied Health or similar discipline
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Management experience in similar or complimentary environment
  • Strong governance and financial acumen.
  • Ability to work effectively on several workstreams with competing deadlines effectively
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and in collaboration with others
  • Effective and appropriate written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a state wide team

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in a mental health setting and providing direct consumer support.
  • Qualifications in psychology, social work or mental health nursing will be highly regarded.
