Flourish Australia is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team!

The position available is:

• Full-time (76 hours/fortnight)
• Monday to Friday
• Based at our Support Hub in Sydney Olympic Park

About the Opportunity

The Management Accountant plays an important role in leading the budgeting, forecasting and financial management reporting across Flourish Australia. They are also responsible for managing Flourish Australia’s treasury needs in conjunction with the Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

As the Management Accountant you will:

• Lead the budget development and forecast reviews across Flourish Australia ensuring that the resulting budgets and forecasts are robust and accurate, that opportunities for re-allocation of funds are identified, and with the senior leadership team develop strategies to address areas of over expenditure.
• Establish, maintain and continually review key performance indicators overall and across business areas within Flourish Australia.
• Provide high quality internal management reports to enable effective business decision-making.
• Prepare the financial components of tenders as required.
• Undertake financial analysis projects as required.
• In conjunction with the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, manage and forecast the operational and long-term cash needs of Flourish Australia.
• Oversight the year end and regular financial reporting of investments held by Flourish Australia.
• Develop and provide training and support to non-financial personnel as required.
• Have a strong customer focus and help business partners achieve their goals.
• Work within a team environment and help others within the team to achieve team objectives.
• Build strategic internal partnerships to support the achievement of Flourish Australia’s.

Selection Criteria

1. Member of either CA or CPA or similar.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in a management accounting role.
3. Sound knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
4. Strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
5. Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels across an organisation,
6. Ability to work proactively in an autonomous manner and in a team environment.
7. Experience in using financial systems and excellent excel proficiency.

Desirable:

1. A personal lived experience of a mental health issue
