Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organic food and sustainability, excellent leadership skills, and experience in retail management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining exceptional customer service, and supporting the store manager in achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervise and support staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient workflow.
  • Monitor stock levels, oversee ordering and replenishment, and manage inventory control.
  • Ensure the store maintains a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and visual merchandising.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve any service-related issues.
  • Assist with staff training, performance management, and scheduling.
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotions within the store.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Store Manager to drive sales and business growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role.
  • Experience in organic retail, health foods retail, or an equivalent industry.
  • Passion for organic and sustainable products.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in stock management and merchandising.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and retail software (preferred but not essential).
