The charity
Ronald McDonald House Charities (“RMHC”) is a national charity that delivers programs and support to seriously ill children and their families. It is a federated charity consisting of 12 legal entities including RMHC Australia.
Across the country 11 RMHC Chapters provide this support to approximately 60,000 families every year via 20 Ronald McDonald Houses, 19 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program and 5 Ronald McDonald Family Retreats.
The role
The Platform Administrator will work with the Technology Manager to provide day-to-date operational administration of the technology team and systems. This role will assist with managing the routine IT requests, system tickets, application support, and general IT support.
Some of the duties in this role include:
- Configure and maintain organisational IT systems to ensure that business goals and objectives are met
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collate requirements and turn them into scalable and maintainable solutions
- Conduct QA testing to mitigate bugs and defects
- Document and communicate system changes to the wider business
- Ongoing development of training of end users in how to use systems to meet best practice standards through all mediums
- Supporting end-users with queries and resolving them in a timely manner
- Build responsive, collaborative and well-connected relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Continue to explore methods and systems to improve processes and the end users experience
- Ensure system security at the highest level across all aspects of the IT functions
Experience required
Essential skills and experience required for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in IT
- Experience working in a support environment
- Analytical mindset - Understanding the why before the what and high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint)
Desirable skills and experience required for this role:
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector
- Experience with formal project management
- Experience with any of the following:
- Salesforce (CRM)
- Sage Intaact (Accounts & Finance)
- BI (Business Intelligence) tools
- Workflow or Integration tools (Zapier, Workato, Mulesoft)
