Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney is a 'home away from home' for seriously ill children and their families.

When families have to travel far from home to receive specialised medical care for their sick child, seeking accommodation in an unfamiliar place only adds to their stress and anxiety. Though there is no place like home, Ronald McDonald House GWS strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment where the whole family can stay together for the duration of their child's treatment.

The purpose of the Database Officer is to support the Ronald McDonald House team through the development of processes to ensure effective data capture and management. This includes undertaking program analysis to identify key performance areas, behaviour trends and performance issues. The Database Officer is the “go to” person for any matters relating to the database and integration with other systems and will be required to undertake regular basic data entry and information extraction to support fundraising strategies and maintaining the integrity and security of the system.

Reporting to the Executive Manager of Business Services the full time role includes:

  • Entry of all required information in the Salesforce database, importing, exporting, normalising and processing files from website and online portals
  • Key contributor to the database, overseeing the management, maintenance, development, and overall hygiene and integrity of the supporter database
  • Processing and receipt of donations
  • Provide monthly reporting on all programs
  • Working with the Finance Coordinator to ensure all information in Salesforce is also recorded in MYOB EXO and vice versa.
  • Ensuring that guest information is imported as required from Exceed Beyond (EB) CRM into Salesforce
  • Preparation of guest invoices in EB and submitting of same to IPTAAS
  • Follow up of queries on Guest invoices
  • Compliance with the Charitable Fundraising Act relevant to local state and best practice guidelines for Charitable Organisations / Gaming and Racing Association in order to protect registered charity status

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance Certificate. It is also a requirement that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Essential:

  • Experience in Salesforce
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Excel to at least Intermediate level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Interpersonal skills relating to people from a range of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a Database in the Fundraising sector
