Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania (RMHC VIC & TAS) is a For-Purpose supporting the ever-changing needs of seriously ill children and their families through accommodation, respite and educational services. We operate 4 Ronald McDonald Houses, 4 Family Rooms, 300 students on our Learning Program and a significant Volunteer program across our organisation.

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Philanthropic Professional who is passionate about making a difference. Reporting to the Fundraising & Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for the management of Bequests, Trust & Foundation applications, along with building & fostering high value donor relationships.

Working from our new Surrey Hills office, this role will also include:

  • Managing timely and high-quality philanthropic trust and foundation applications through effective program management
  • Providing education to internal staff around the expectations of funders
  • Identifying and securing new opportunities for Trust and Foundation relationships to grow the program as part of the Fundraising Growth Strategy
  • Researching, developing and presenting high-quality proposals and case for support materials for philanthropic funders
  • Developing donor engagement plans, managing expectations and agreed deliverables such as recognition to thank and acknowledge supporters appropriately in line with their contributions
  • Building a pipeline of potential bequestors in order to grow the bequests portfolio and achieve financial targets.

We are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission and actively wants to contribute to the values held by all staff at Ronald McDonald House Charities.

In addition, you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in fundraising, marketing, communications, business or related discipline
  • 1 – 3 years demonstrated experience working successfully in a similar role within in the Not-for-Profit sector, in particular a specialist in major gifts, bequests or trust and foundations
  • Demonstrated program management skills with the ability to develop clear plans and timelines, adhere to deadlines, maintain regular communication with stakeholders and monitor progress
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish, build and nurture relationships
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM is highly desired but not essential
